THE GRAND HOODED PHANTOM is a collection of songs that were recorded in Southern California at Solunaris Studios by Justin Gutierrez (Casket Salesmen).
Your Highness Electric is Brandon Bear Bondehagen, Brad Magers, and Bob Scott.
The band was formed in early 1998 under the original name Christiansen in Louisville, Kentucky. The band molded into what is now Your Highness Electric in early 2005. The music they play is cloudlike and omnipotent. Heavy and clear, like fresh spring rain that leaves one feeling refreshed and invigorated. Cutting riffs and calculated wails resuscitate the stale shells of human ghosts that ambulate among their kind without a light to guide them.
Put in a vehicle as the wheels spin across the world, so do the frequencies of the vibrations beating within their 440 bps hearts. They come bearing amplified signals; they leave with satiated souls.
You need not put a finger on their “sound” You need not classify YHE’s THE GRAND HOODED PHANTOM as “This” or “That.” What you should understand is that which is documented comes from places each person has but can’t experience in another. Unless sought for and projected these realms collapse and become products of the archaeological confines that you find in mostly adults who keep thinking about the “should of, would of, could of” elements of their life.
Fear not friends! We come with succulent gifts that given the exposure can make great waves.
Your Highness Electric has shared the stage with Wolfmother, Clutch, Circa Survive, & Casket Salesmen to name a few.
Louisville, KY’s Christiansen spent ten years overcoming adversity to remain a band. Original drummer, Terry Campbell moved to New York City and left Your Highness Electric to play with the group, Young Love. Bassist, Brad Magers spent time earlier this year in NYC playing with The Exit and is currently splitting his time playing with The Bronx in Los Angeles and Your Highness Electric. But the bands core members Brandon Bondehagen, Brad Magers and Bob Scott decided to fly to California when Phil Pirrone called them and asked them to record an album for Longhair Illuminati.
With a new label, a new album, and members scattered across the country- spreading the word, these Kentuckians are back and better than ever.
